Prof. Sugata Bose delivers annual lecture on 22nd May 2015

Eminent historian and Member of Parliament Prof. Sugata Bose delivered the annual lecture at the museum on the ocassion of the 243rd birth anniversary of Raja Rammohun Roy. Dr. Bose who is a Professor of History at the Harvard University spoke on "Rammohun O Banglar Nabojagoran." Speaking at the occassion Dr. Bose spoke at length of the prevalant socio economic status and conditions in Bengal at that time. He spoke at length how the ideals of Rammohun paved the way for the Renaissance to happen in India and why Rammohun was called the Father of Modern India.

The Governor - Sri Gopal K Gandhi inaugurates a CD of Brahmosanmgeet

His Excellency the Governor of West Bengal - Shri Gopal Krishna Gandhi inaugurated the CD of 8 Brahmosangeet penned by Rammohun Roy, sung by various artists at a function at the Museum on 14th September 2009.

Speaking at the occassion- the Governor remarked that this CD was of great historic value and played glowing tributes to Rammohun.
